We take a look back at the stories that caught the attention of the public this past week:

Prince George meets Winnie the Pooh

As a birthday celebration for two of Britain’s most loved figures, a new Winnie-the-Pooh story has been released in honour of both Her Majesty and Pooh’s 90th birthdays.

The story, which will be released as a digital and audio book, includes favourite characters Piglet, Eeyore and Owl as the group set off on an adventure to deliver a present to the Queen. The story also includes a cameo from the adorable Prince George who is described as “much younger than Christopher Robin and almost as bouncy as Tigger”. The story is free to download from Disney.

Bond, Jane Bond

Daniel Craig made no secret of his desire to quit the Bond franchise, leaving the well-rehearsed speculation war to rage on in its gaping void.

Names that are heavily tipped are the likes of Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Damian Lewis and now, throwing her own name into the mix, X-Files and The Fall star Gillian Anderson. She uploaded a tweet with a mock-up of her in a Bond poster and the Twittersphere subsequently went into meltdown.

6-month-old Water Skier

Six-month-old Zyla from Florida has broken the Guinness World Record for being the youngest ever person to water ski, travelling almost 700ft.

Although yet unable to walk, Zyla glided across the water past a crowd of supporters wearing a pink life vest, like she was born to do it.
