We’re really proud of all our awards at OMD UK. The same applies to OMD in other markets too so we thought we’d take the opportunity to shine a spotlight over some global successes – there’s certainly lots to shout about!
OMD Denmark has been named Agency of the Year for the 17th time in 20 years! With only one ‘Agency of the Year’ award to be won in Denmark, this is a truly amazing achievement. The title is based on 704 interviews with advertisers who recognised OMD’s growth and expertise in specialist services.
At the recent Effie MENA Awards, OMD demonstrated once again its commitment to marketing effectiveness. MENA’s combined offices, (the UAE, Egypt and Algeria) took home 10 trophies including three gold, two silver and four bronze awards, the prestigious Grand Prix and they were named the Most Effective Media Agency of the Year. Campaigns that were particularly successful were OMD Egypt’s “Sting Launch” campaign for PepsiCo, which won the coveted Grand Prix, and Gold in Best Youth Marketing, and OMD UAE’s “7Up Wall of Music” activation which won Gold. A special mention also goes to OMD Algeria for winning their first Effie.
A huge congratulations is in order for OMD Hungary who outshone all competitors at the 14th Effie Awards in Hungary. Not only were they crowned the most awarded media agency in the history of the Effie Awards in Hungary, but a staggering 80% of their entries were shortlisted. OMD came away with eight award wins for the likes of Unilever, Mars, McDonald’s and Decathlon.
And finally, OMD and m2m Australia’s Penny The Pirate campaign for OPSM Luxottica has won a silver trophy at the 2016 Epica Awards in the ‘Online Campaigns – Health, Beauty & Fashion’ category. This takes the awards tally for this campaign to an amazing 17 trophies including Grand Prix Campaign of the Year at Festival of Media Global, Grand Prix Campaign of the Year at Festival of Media Asia, and Campaign of the Year at M&M Global!
