- Barclays launched pingit, a peer to peer money transfer service for mobile devices, downloaded 20,000 times in the first two days – important as the banks seek to avoid becoming the ‘dumb pipes of mobile money’
- Twitter launched a self service ad platform allowing many more brands to get involved with real time promotion
- Google have again upped their commitment to Google+ by adding sharing features to their home page

- Facebook drives 10x the volume of video shares as Twitter as online video viewing accelerates
