Breakfast – the most vital meal of the day, right? At OMD UK, we think so, but it’s important to know that over 500,000 children around Britain are going to school hungry every day, having missed out on theirs!
On Monday 19th January, we launched a campaign with Quaker in conjunction with the charity Magic Breakfast, dedicated to ensuring that every child starts their school day with the right breakfast to fuel their learning.
Working with our partners Freud PR, Blackswan and AMV BBDO, the Feed Their Future campaign launched with a bang. A Thunderclap message set social channels alight with simultaneous Tweets, Facebook posts and Tumblr messages raising awareness of the issue by including the #FeedTheirFuture hashtag.
Shortly afterwards, Carol Vorderman dropped by Rye Oak Primary School in Peckham, treating pupils at a morning breakfast club to an extra special interactive maths lesson. You’ll also notice a TV campaign designed to raise awareness for this worthy cause and reinforce the importance of a healthy breakfast.
