OMD UK features in Campaign’s Annual 2016

The year is drawing to a close so we thought what better way to round up the last 12 months than by taking a look back at the bits we’re most proud of.

It seems Campaign has done all the hard work for us in their Annual 2016 edition which rounds up a year in marketing. Here’s a summary in case you missed it.

First up, we were incredibly proud to have our Channel 4’s ‘We are the Superhumans’ campaign named as Campaign of the Year as well as featuring on the top ten TV and cinema ads list. No mean feat in a year that has seen so much outstanding work. We had set the bar high with our London 2012 campaign but managed to go one step further by creating the most accessible campaign ever which will now be studies by GCSE and A Level media studies pupils going forwards. It’s certainly one for the record books.

Our work with Walkers to create their Crisp Sarnie Café featured on the top ten live experiences list. This campaign was brought to life with a secret café hidden behind a shelf in a newsagent and showcased Walkers’ limited-edition range of sandwich-flavoured crisps.

To mark the return of Channel 4’s sci-fi drama Humans, we worked with 4Creative to bring the show’s fictional synths to life as Facebook Messenger chatbots, encouraging users to talk to the bots. This campaign scooped a spot on the top ten digital innovations.

Finally, a shout out to our brilliant people. Hamid Habib (Chief Innovation Officer) and Rian Shah (Chief Strategy Officer) secured places on the top ten media planners list and our CEO, Dan Clays, landed a place on the top ten media suits list, with our Media Week Awards Agency of the Year presentation getting a special mention!

Philippa Brown, UK Chief Executive of Omnicom Media Group, also featured in the Annual along with so many of our esteemed colleagues and campaigns from across the network.

Congratulations to everyone involved in making such brilliant campaigns. 2017 is shaping up to be an incredible year. We wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from everyone here at the agency.
