OMD UK Covid-19 Consumer Impact Report- Week 25

It’s week 25 of sharing our Covid-19 Consumer Impact Report!

Our Insight team’s unique tracking study, highlights our findings on the nation’s outlook and consumer’s decision making. The information has been sourced using Radar, which has allowed us to measure the extent of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic so far, and track how it evolves over time.

This week’s report focuses on these most recent results,  collected from a nationally representative sample of c.250 respondents in the UK between Friday 4th September to Sunday 6th September 2020.

Key findings this week include:

  •  With the nation having different concerns in their day to day lives, using our research we have had a deeper look into what we are most concerned about. According to our #Covid-19 Consumer Impact report, relating to the pandemic, healthcare services still appear to be a top concern of the nation (79%) , but also topping the list is crime (77%), carbon emissions (66%) as well as our consumption of single-use plastic (61%).
  • As a new school year starts and many of us start to think about the end of the year particularly towards Christmas, plans to make home improvements and pay off any debts continue to rise. In the next 6 months, 16% of the population have said they would like to make some improvements to their homes.
