Today saw a hugely exciting and influential group of journalists come and debate the General Election at OMD. To a packed audience we heard Joe Twyman of Deltapoll chair a debate that discussed the journalists views and perspectives on how the campaign would play out over the coming weeks.
This is the third political debate we have held at OMD and having predicted in 2016 we would remain in the EU, and in 2017 the Conservatives would win by a big majority, we were hanging on their every word!
With such a fragmented media landscape and fake news circulating on social sites, newsbrands have a more important role than ever to deliver fact-based news and quality journalism that people can trust. By hosting this debate at OMD it really highlighted to our teams, clients, and the wider advertising market of the continued importance and role of the national newsbrands.
