Face Value

It is always interesting when brands flip their point of view and find a new lens through which to talk.

Dermablend Professional is a make-up brand for people with mild to severe skin conditions.  The ads they have created are empowering. They showcase women taking off their make-up and emotionally talking through the trials that their respective skin conditions have had on their lives. However, the take-away on both video spots is that make-up lets the world see them for who they really are. It stops people from judging them at face value.  It is an interesting twist on make-up which is generally seen as a vanity product.
