Over the last couple of months, we’ve been working with Pepsi Max to deliver an awe-inspiring take on football – Drone Football. You might be one of the 6+ million viewers to have already watched the advert on YouTube, but we launched an all-encompassing media plan yesterday during the intriguing Manchester United v Arsenal game to make sure football fans throughout the country got to enjoy the amazing video.
First off, we bought a 100-second advertising spot during half time. We were early on in the ad break to make sure we caught people who weren’t going to stick around for the punditry…
To amplify the ad, we used AdSync to target people at exactly 17:01 – the moment before the second half kicked off. We also ran premium rich formats across Sky’s digital networks and scheduled promoted tweets to reach people talking about football on Twitter.
Finally, we ran a 10-second teaser clip on stunning digital out-of-home screens near pubs from 12pm to catch people on their way to watch the game. A second Genius message played out on the same sites after the game to land the product message.
It was a great game yesterday and the whole experience was made even richer for people thanks to our amazing Drone Football ad.
