Last night, a delegation from OMD UK headed to London’s OXO Tower to celebrate the ninth Clear Channel Outdoor Planning Awards…and what a night it was! Our ground-breaking Google Outside 2.0 campaign was crowned the best outdoor campaign of the last year, winning the Grand Prix and Best Use of Digital category.
Created in partnership with Talon, Google Outside used unique data to display contextually-relevant information across 1,240 digital-out-of-home sites in London and the South East.
Google Media Lab’s Ryan Saunders said: “Google Outside 2.0 was the most ambitious out of home campaign we’ve ever done and we’re grateful to OMD UK and our other partners for having the vision and determination to make it happen. We’re so proud to win the Grand Prize and Best Use of Digital at last night’s awards and look forward to developing more great OOH work over the coming year.”
Alongside these impressive wins, OMD UK’s work with My Monopoly Live also scooped a highly commended in the Best Use of Digital in Outdoor category.
